The application of multiple teaching methods in anesthesia physiology teaching

Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of multiple teaching method in anesthesia physiology teaching for undergraduate students of anesthesiology.Methods The multiple teaching method was applied into anesthesia physiology teaching for anesthesiology students of grade 2013 in Renji College of Wenzhou Medical University. There were 32 students from class 1 in experimental group and 31 students from class 2 in control group. The control group was taught by traditional teaching method while the experimental group was taught by multiple teaching method. Teaching effect was assessed through the questionnaire survey and test score after the teaching.Results The experimental group average scores (80.9±8.4) was superior to that of the control group (72.9±8.9). It showed statistical difference (P<0.05). At the same time, 87.5% (28/32) experimental group students had a positive attitude towards multiple teaching method.Conclusions The multiple teaching method can stimulate students' interest in learning and help students to heighten their abilities of self-learning, analysis and synthesis.
