Discussion on the essential quality requirements for medical students in the era of globalization

Abstract: Globalization has changed the health determinants and medical services worldwide, hereby updating the requirements for medical students has caught the attention of governments, institutions and scholars. The concept of global competence focuses on the capacity of globalized thinking for problems solving, and covers the requirements of “international understanding education” “trans-cultural communication” “international views” proposed in China, while global health education trains students about the health equality in the whole world. It is of great significances for improving the quality of medical education based on the essential quality requirements in terms of matching the goal of globalization.
