Abstract

The cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in biomedical science is one of the urgent needs of healthy China project and innovation-driven development strategies. Since 2016, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine has constructed and implemented an new training system for capacity building of top-notch talents by scientifically matching and highly integrating the elements of "first-class university, first-class discipline, first-class students, first-class faculty, first-class curriculum, and first-class scientific innovation platform", which has achieved fruitful outcomes and replicable experiences for promoting biomedical science in China.
