Serious game with medical theoretical knowledge and skills as its content is a new field of medical education. In the era of "Internet +", serious game shows strong vitality and unprecedented application prospects and it may become an important method for medical students and medical professionals to learn theory and master clinical skills. Starting from the concept and development of serious games, this paper reviews the current application status of serious games in the field of medical education, and analyzes the existing problems in its development, aiming to provide a reference for further research of serious games in the field of medical education.
