Entrustable professional activities (EPAs) translate abstract clinical competency assessment into entrustment decisions in clinical practice and promote the development and implementation of competency-based medical education (CBME). In order to fill the gap between abstract and complex clinical competency assessment and real clinical practice, emphasize the characteristics of dermatology learning, the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University began exploring the construction of dermatology residency training courses based on EPAs in 2021. This study discussed the application of dermatology courses from curriculum design, practical teaching, quality standard construction, and evaluation. The evaluation results showed that among the 55 residents who participated in dermatology residency training, 54 (98.2%) expressed satisfaction with the course, and 49 (89.1%) believed that the courses could improve their clinical skills. The dermatology residency training courses based on EPAs could enhance the effectiveness of residency training and enhance the competence of residents.
