Reflection on the impact of career anchor theory on medical professionalism education

Abstract

With the reform of medical system and the change of social environment worldwide, public demand for quality medical service is increasing day by day. This paper draws on the career anchor theory, and makes reflections from the perspective of career development, through understanding ″Internal professional″ factors, including personal career orientation, career orientation and professional values orientation, as well as the external manifestation of these professional ″connotation″, to facilitate the matching of individual needs and organizational needs, and to explore clinical posts and career paths that better suit physicians in their professional development that improve their motivation, professionalism and eventually their doctor-patient relationship.
