Objective To observe the application of HC video laryngoscope airway visualization technology in tracheal intubation teaching for clinical probation.Methods Forty students who had not been trained in tracheal intubation were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, 20 students in each group. The students in observation group were taught by HC video laryngoscope airway visualization technology on the model, while the students in control group were taught by the traditional Macintosh laryngoscope on the model. After the completion of the teaching, two groups of students were grasped about the tracheal intubation on the model. The success rate for first tracheal intubation, the success rate for total tracheal intubation, the classification of glottis structure(Cormack-Lehane classification), the incidence of tooth injury, tracheal intubation time and the score of clinical teaching questionnaire were compared between the two groups.Results The total success rate and the first success rate of tracheal intubation in the observation group were higher than those of the control group. The exposure grading of the observation group was better than that of the control group, the incidence of tooth injury was lower than that of the control group, and the intubation time was shorter than that of the control group. The teaching questionnaire showed that the score of teaching satisfaction, tracheal intubation proficiency and study interest were higher than those of the control group.Conclusions Application of HC video laryngoscope airway visualization technology helps the students quickly grasp the skills of tracheal intubation and gets better teaching feedback.
