Application of micro lecture combined with scene simulation teaching in an integrated experimental teaching of occupational hygiene

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of scene simulation teaching combined with micro lecture in an integrated experiment teaching of occupational hygiene for preventive medicine students. Methods In September 2020, eighty-seven students majoring in the seven-year program of preventive medicine program enrolled in 2016 into Peking University Health Science Center joined this study. The effect of scene simulation teaching combined with micro lecture in the integrated experiment teaching of occupational hygiene was evaluated by teacher's observation and questionnaire survey among students. Results Scene simulation teaching in the integrated experimental teaching of occupational hygiene showed good teaching effects, 82.8%(72/87) of the students evaluated that teaching method as satisfied or above. The introduction of micro lecture to assist integrated experimental teaching has a positive impact on increasing students' learning gains and improvement of teaching quality.As much as 93.1%(81/87) of students evaluated the micro lecture as basically satisfied or satisfied for scene simulation teaching. Conclusions Combination of micro lecture and scene simulation in an integrated experimental teaching of occupational hygiene shows good teaching effects but still needs more efforts to optimize the performance.
