Analysis on the local practice of narrative medicine

Abstract: This paper traces back the formative research of narrative medicine and draws a relatively complete diachronic clue. The theoretical and practical basis of narrative medicine is discussed in order to understand the origin of the term coined by Rita Charon. Meanwhile, this paper emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary and critical perspectives by related research on medical anthropology. On the basis of expounding the present situation of narrative medicine education in China and in other countries, this paper summarizes the characteristics of specific approaches in China for promoting the local practice of narrative medicine education.
