Abstract

Objective To understand the basic life support skills of emergency doctors in Hubei Province. Methods To analyze the assessment of the basic life support site in the Hubei First Aid Skills Competition and the reasons for the loss of emergency doctors. Results The emergency doctors' breathing judgment during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic extracorporeal defibrillator (AED) operation has the highest deduction point. The identification of the indications before and after the electric defibrillation operation have most error, and the correct rate is less than 50%. The average score of CPR + AED operation of emergency doctors was (64.52±9.18) and the pass rate was 72.7%(24/33). The average score and pass rate of secondary hospitals were lower than those of tertiary hospitals. The average defibrillation score was (62.55±10.42) and the pass rate was 57.6%(19/33). The average score of the secondary hospitals was lower than that of the tertiary hospitals, and the pass rate was higher than that of the tertiary hospitals. Conclusions The basic life support skills of emergency doctors in Hubei Province are not ideal. The corresponding training and assessment mechanism should be established to improve the first-aid skills of emergency doctors.
