In face of the great opportunity in the field of global revolution in science technology, emerging project of Health China 2030 and novo integration of medical education with healthcare provision, Medical education in China must take this chance for speeding up reformation of education as a historical mission and with a multi-level and social service based strategy, which has been highlighted by the current pandemic COVID-19 event. In this background the National Center for Health Professions Education Development invited some well-known experts to a summit for development and reformation of medical education in the new epoch and reaches consensus.
